We always yearned for the relaxed lifestyle of living on acreage. The dream of having a vineyard on the river has been a long term goal.
We combined our resources as a family and quickly learnt that running a farm and vineyard didn’t make for a laidback lifestyle, when incorporated with the other demands that life has to offer. We have been raised knowing that everything worthwhile must be earned.
It has been a steep learning curve, but there has always been challenges met by reward. We love what we do, growing great quality fruit, managing the wine making process and presenting our customers with superb wine. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our labour.
The Vineyard
River Gum Vineyard is located on the banks of the Goulburn River at Murchison East in Central Victoria.
Murchison East has a rich sandy loam over layers of ancient river gravel and a temperate climate.
The vines were planted in 1996 and have produced quality fruit and award winning wine. Our varieties include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot
